Summer Searching

Hi Everyone!

The last few months have been pretty crazy with finishing up school, but I'm proud to say that I'm now an Indiana University Alum! It has been an amazing five-year ride, and I'm proud to call myself a Hoosier. Final projects went extremely well in my last Spring semester and should be up soon in my portfolio website. Updates will be coming soon as I gear up to apply for jobs in the Southern California area! If you are in need of some freelance work, please shoot me an email! You can contact me by email at heather@heatherannedesign.com

Thanks!

Question Project - Part 2

Finished the second print for our question project! I had some troubles with this one... mostly with the ink drying out on me while I was in the process of printing. BUT! I managed to finish the series. I think they turned out nice and fit will with the previous print.

Hope you like it!

Portfolio Website

Hey Everyone!

For our final project in my Graphic Design Portfolio class, we are allowed to do whatever we want, as long as it helps make our portfolio stronger. I will be working on making a portfolio website for myself and will hopefully have it all finished by the end of the semester! I at least plan on having the main layout of the website up and can fill in the holes later.

My website is:

www.heatherannedesign.com

I'll keep you updated on my progress! Hopefully I'll have a finalized logo/layout idea by the end of the week.

Check back soon!

Question Project - Part 1

So in my printmaking class, we were presented a question from a random quote/question generator online. We had to use the first question given to us (no second tries...)

My question was:

"How will it's chemical ritual cycle the miracle?"

Initially, people told me to do something about pregnancy... and although it does answer the question, I wanted to think more outside the box. I came up with the idea that we as people do things everyday that become a ritual, whether good or bad. After flipping through some Crap Hound books filled with random imagery, I came across this pretty lady smoking. Since I was strapped for ideas, I decided to go with her and make a really strong piece, and hopefully the rest fall into place. I have to make two more final prints (by Thursday mind you... ugh) that help with this question. We don't  necessarily have to answer the question, but rather pull inspiration from it. After all that explanation, here's the first final print of the series.

Enjoy!

Printmaking - Political Poster

Finally finished my silkscreen project! We were given the task of taking a Master work print and changing at least 40% of the design and making it related to anything political. I worked with Alphonse Mucha's Season's series...specifically the "Spring" print.

Here's the final design!

Enjoy
